If I remember correctly translucent materials can only sample reflection coming fro SSR is recent version of UE4, or have no reflections at all in older versions. That's a limitation or UE4 unfortunately.
Isn´t it actually the other way around? I always have to make sure the scale of my object is correct in mudbox otherwise the brushes go crazy like shit o.O
