Few weeks passed since my last update, I've managed to finish the blockout and now I'm resculpting all my drafts (arc is the first in list). Lots of draft meshes, lightmap seams and intersections.
Still playing around with some ideas. I started with my blockout for the speeder and switched to a shape i'm realy happy with. The idea of an air race is nice i think. did a short break animation :D
You said its a blockout. Dont know if you have already thought this far ahead but you could also save a lot of polys by making the wall and the arch itself separate elements. Just a thought.
Nice little challenge. WIth a concept like that, that has so many odd shapes, your blockouts are going to be key. Spend a bit more time on them then you might usually. Can't wait to see more.
so far blockout looks fine, not much we can actually critique until you actually show us the finished model. As far as finding references, have you heard of google image search?

Where to start? Jump in and do it! (blockout/proportions, build up details, etc) Picking something someone else has already designed and sticking to it might be a good start; less chance to skimp on details perhaps.
how can they be your client, if these things aren't sorted out already? i assume you can do this kind of work. so now you will have to figure out how long it will take. if you can't do it for the whole thing, break it down into individual steps or even pieces if needed. how long will the blockout take? how long will it…
if the mouth is animated, i create it from the start. i sometimes reuse teeth and tongue, useful to have in your morgue kit. i place the teeth/gums and create the mouth bag around them at blockout/sculpt, giving most attention to the inner lips.
Hello everyone, just wanted to present the start of an environment project that I'm currently working on. I still yet to do the blockout, however, I wanted to do an art direction. So here is a sneak peak of some props I created. Final touch ups and compositing done in Substance Designer. In addition I will be working on…
