If going the pure polygonal route(no high-poly bake) then you might want to add some chamfering/beveling on sharp corners, or use vertex shading. You can add a normal map channel in SP and derive your detail from there: wood grain, damage, moss, etc. -

i understand, yeah the wood would be ok to detail a bit, because the nature of this particular building is the walls are fairly smooth so the wood detail will pop good with it and not seem out of place, maybe also the low porch wall as well with a little damage revealing brick underneath to balance it -

Hey dude thanks for the tips ;) It's rendered in UE4 and uses hdri for the lighting. I will redo the lights and environments and textures hopefully hope I can find some good references with camo paint being damaged as atm I don't exactly know how to make the textures better. -

Thank you for exposing these mistakes. Now I see them and they're a bit damaging for the whole piece. I'll try to work harder on my composition. I know that I'm not good with painting hands. They need a lot more of practice. Thank you so much for help :smile: -

Looks really nice! Keep in mind though where the damage should be; only on very accessible and often touched places. I also think the end of the barrel should have harder edges, but it might be too late to go over. I mean, if you really cared that much. :\ -

Love the update Mistry, One thing i am wondering is about the war damages that these building take,So are you planning for something like that?,i mean a lotta bullet marks on the walls,debris,destroyed walls,buildings etc. Just out of curiosity :) . Nice One! Vj -

Good to have these links. The eraser on mine stopped functioning for some reason, I tried it on another tablet and it didn't work there either, so I'm assuming something got damaged inside. Mind you the rest of the pen works just fine, it just really annoying not having an eraser. -

Who the hell would play this mod? The only thing I like about this are the hands and the skin tones. 8-) Looking really nice man. I think you could use a bit more localized damage as he looks a bit pristine at the moment. Good work though. -

you could push this even firther and add dents and stuff in a sculpting program , you would be able to have more believeble dirt and damage and you could make the edges seem a tad worn . Right now its too clean, texture and model wise. But still : TASTY
