thanks! yeah that's correct. I am sitting at 2800 right now. I can cut down on that though. The most I'm worried about is material creation since that is my weak point I think.
Looking at Intel's site for the 945GC says Max Memory 2GB. http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=28994 The crucial.com memory adviser for a motherboard with the same chipset confirms it. So you can only do 2 1GB sticks.
