Not bad at all. One of the biggest issues is the lighting. I think you might have a skylight or something in your scene because there are no dark spots. I get that you want to show off the assets but it's important to have good lighting. The lighting will also help break up your scene and give some depth to it as it seems…
It's a Nice start, but there are a few things I'd like you to consider; perhaps a few questions to ask... 1) How did the rock on the upper left hand corner get completely destroyed without the metal beams being damaged ? Rock does not melt. 2) how did the the green stuff evenly space itself across the surface such that the…
When you are going to sleep, wear headphones (but don't fall asleep with them still on - just lay down somewhat early and be ready to take them off when your eyes start to itch with sleep), and watch video tutorials. You only have to look at the screen when someone you don't get is being said. In other words, watch and…
I've had the Droid X (on vzw) for about a month now. By far my favorite phone I've had so far. Pro's: Great responsiveness. Durable (I have the rubber sleeve on it though so...>.>) Multi-tasks great. Very Vibrant Colors. Crisp clear in call sound. Netflix is making an Android Mobile App :D (Future Plus) (and I'm to…
I've been working on a night time scene recently from concept art by Pablo Carpio; more of an exercise in creating a certain atmosphere and mood and this image seems quite mysterious in an enchanting way: There are only a few assets to create with the large rock being the focal point; I referenced the Lycoris radiata,…
I saw a pretty good explanation of a Silent Hill style transition material so I was inspired to try that out myself. The article in question is here: http://dp3dblog.tumblr.com/post/26742825968/thoughts-on-texture-transition-fx But I did a change to it where I did an Add operation of the rock texture on top of the…
@bounchfx hey dude! Thanks man, I really appreciate it. Those rocks kinda went from a texture to just an odd painting of some rocks, they certainly need work if theyre to be better utilized as a texture. Good point on the wood, thanks man! Heres a quick (like 10 min) metal/bronze I did, hopefully it doesnt look too dark on…
Have you got any reference or anything? is this a fantasy castle because it looks very culture mixed, The balcony seems very random as well like why is it there? what's the purpose the builders decided we'll have this area of the room raised, I'd suggest give it a reason to be there like a room feature Here are some quick…
Update at last! Everything is pretty much WIP. It took me some time but I finally nailed my snow shader :) THe interior is progresing too, I'm still unsure of what I will put in place of the placeholder tree, an old tree of mine or some kind of levitating magical sphere, still thinking... The next big step is modeling…
Hey PacoCasares, looking good. Before you move onto the low poly though I'd suggest hardening some of those edges so they look more rock-like. Right now the piece is looking a little doughy. Some of the rocks have a sort of bendy quality to them, making them look soft instead of like hard slabs of stone. Hope that helps.…
