Great progress and very nice design! You have a lot of open space on the left side, might call for some other interesting props, perhaps floating barrels? Great work!
Here is a few more images of the gun, I am just wrapping up modeling some floating geometry for the inside of the chamber then its on to the low poly. Comments and suggestions are always welcome ;)
any suggestions as of now? Im having trouble modeling the parts around the magazine release and these parts in general. Any suggestions? should I carve into the model or use floating geometry for these parts?
No one wants "idea" men. There are way more then enough ideas floating around already. Plus, mosts peoples ideas suck, they just think there awesome becasue they thought of them :P
Looking good, but I don't care much for the floating in starry space presentation. If you were doing a spaceship maybe, but a gun? I think your texturing has improved though
I think the forms are floating very well most time (especially on the wings) but on the legs i miss that the shapes are support each other especially on the upper leg. Besides that: great work!
http://www.androidblues.com/cloudtut.html Also there are quite a few high quality cloud brushes for photoshop floating around, quite a few crappy ones too but most of the time those are easy to spot.
Awesome meet everyone! Nice to see a ton of new faces and some old friends again. There were a few cameras floating around so we should have a bunch of pics. :)
http://slidelondon.com/ used to offer a plugin called slideknit. I can't find the link to it on their site though, but maybe it's still floating around somewhere. It does exactly what you want.
It does (or you can drag them onto the viewport from Windows Explorer) but I prefer my floating window since it gives you a bit more control and is always available. :)
