@Screwonhead: Wenches you say :P? Something more like this everyone? Just a blockout before I put in the effort to make it look nice. Still working on the door handle, it will probably be normaled on to the hull rather then additional geo.
Neat finishing. Did you use a 3d blockout? I wonder if you could describe your process a bit. Traditionally on Polycount, artists also explain a bit about how they made the piece, showing wireframes, etc.
Preferably for me, the left hand side geometry for high res hard surface detaling, once a validated blockout example is confirmed. Then it's bevel edge workflow in order too extract relevant surface data for projection onto a proxy.
@Matt Well it's taken a really long time to get this far, if thats what you mean.. i'm not doing this alone either. @voff Consider this a blockout sort of thing, im going to start populating the plates and the underground now.
Hello all I'm currently doing a 3D boot camp and we are currently working on our capstone for the first section. I've chosen to do this Banishing Bell by Glenn van Driel. I've started the blockout and trying to get my proportions right. Any feedback is appreciated ty!
Been working on and off on the sculpt, finishing up the blockout. Still got a few small bits to add before I start refining but I feel I'm making good progress so far
Current blockout of greenhouse : I'm currently reusing a lot of assets and using a modular kit for the greenhouse. I want to keep the scope of the project quite small so I can make the most of the modularity.
A very small update. I think I have a better idea of what to use as a shield... a poro! this is my blockout so far. I'll start detailing soon. What do you think?
I started making something what will be very important- the forge. Idea is simple, a forge made by player, created using materials he gathered. An anvil (needs retexture): Blockout High poly of the fireplace
Small update with a blockout I'm building in Max, its made to fit the grid in UDK. Its still very experimental, trying out shapes and different kinds of open spaces to reach a certain mood.
