Did it? I might be a bit biased since it's one of my favourite games, but I've been replaying it a couple of months ago and it's as good as ever. In fact, I have yet to play a recent RPG that surpasses it in terms of depth. It's worth a mention that there's a widescreen fix that makes it easier to play on modern PC's.
Sorry man, I totally had a brain fart there. so this is basically a directionally biased AO map.(applied to your diffuse.) edit also to add something constructive you can bake these in max using the mr ao shader. you change its type to 2 and it outputs the bent normal.
@silvershrimp If you have an iPad you can check out our game creation platform hyperPad (www.hyperPad.com). You can make games for fun and share them with the community, or export for the App store (iOS only for now) with a PRO account. It's pretty cool, and really easy.. But I'm a bit biased ;)
[ QUOTE ] Dont be so biased about me Daz... I never ever stated it ONCE in this thread that I hate Maya and now i want to war. Maybe I should have inserted random LOLs and emoicons or something. People getting blind in love as it seems...;) [/ QUOTE ] So that's what I get for trying to help out?! I wasn't 'biased', and I…
heh cghub gold awards and top row is seriously overrated and usually biased quite a bit. some mediocre work from some AAA game will get spotlight just because of the brand, while someone's personal work however awesome it may be will be overlooked. dont waste your energy over such things.
Even if polygon meshes were instanced to be as big as their demonstration map, it would never run even if the polygons were instanced. I suggest doing more research into the tech. Seems too many of you are basing your statements on personal biases and continue to ignore my posts explaining how this tech is possible.
Hi Vii, Great to meet you. Toon style wins me every time, especially low poly, so I'm biased but thoroughly impressed already. I've never modelled with Maya before though, so I'm also hooked and keen to see more. Good luck with your next stage! :)
i cannot agree here (and not talking about tools in this case) but it´s a subjective thing. for me it was super easy to pick up and i know people who agree and others who dont. thats what trials are for. everybody has an opinion on that matter and everybody will be slightly biased towards his tool of choice.
All news is biased. I never could understand the arguments against violent video games, saying they cause violence. I've played Doom and Mortal Kombat, literally, since I was 3 or 4. And I cried once killing a spider. If people want to be violent, they will be. I don't think Video Games are to blame.
Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks is fun as hell. Played it for 2+ hours about a week ago and had a ball. The ko-op mode makes that game (I was playing it with a coworker). If you like fighting or adventure games its a good buy. Think a MK version of god of war. But then again I may be biased.
