Dont know maxscript but I think you need to specifiy what attribute you want to access so like x,y,z etc. (I should really learn max so I can do maxscript stuff)
I've used splines for the stuff and bake it on y plane in xnormal an grabbed the alpha from the normal map. its works pretty fine. in my mat i used two sided aswell. the results are very good. thanks for the help guys
Make a Key/Button Pressed node (new event --> input) and set it to detect T and Y. UDK should listen for both those keys and override the console bar. Since nothing is hooked up to the node nothing will happen. Hope this helps!
Mark, always coming in with the wisdom. Yeah I think I was using diameter not radius. Looked double size. Im setting up the wheels and tires along with two lines one on X and one on Y to properly size my frame.
It may be work in progress but it's already looking sweet, keep up the good work! :) Love the moss on the trees! Speaking of which, are you planning on a jungle environment for the trees? They give me a distinctly jungle-y ( it's a real word, I promise ) vibe.
This is much easier to do in R8 using live booleans. But you can still do it using the older method. you need to set the correct axis in radial symmetry before you do the imm subtract operation. Y is up in ZB.
Pretty sure I got that part, but I'll double check. EDIT: Yup, set to Normal compression and LOD group is WorldNormalMap. It's like something's scrambling the X and Y directions in various spots, and tossed out the Z depth for good measure...
you can search through your 3dsmax.ini file and change the x/y coordinates for the panels. I've had to do this a few times in the past, it's not to bad. Easier than getting everything the way it was before if you delete the .ini file altogether.
Erm, I think you've come to the wrong place here dude, this is P-o-l-y-c-o-u-n-t, It seems like you spelled the address wrong in your web browser, it's : http://www.livestream.com/forum/
did you reset the x-form? can we get a screen with bounding box, grid, wires and axis? include the x y z transofrm numbers at the bottom, under the animation bar (highlit the geo and have the move tool selected)
