@lerrine Great blockout, I look forward to seeing the gummy material. I imagine Bump Offset or Parallax would get the job done *Or could just pump up SSS and translucency, similar to 'Robbie "Ribbit" Lorenzo'
The material definition here as well as character expression is great - love the breakdown on your artstation too. With the hair, were you sculpting a base at first and then setting up hair planes over a blockout sculpt? Very nicely done!
Preferably for me, the left hand side geometry for high res hard surface detaling, once a validated blockout example is confirmed. Then it's bevel edge workflow in order too extract relevant surface data for projection onto a proxy.
So I've made a change in plans and am now modeling a different building. This concept is by Erin Lin found on artstation (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/G01N41). Erin Lin's concept https://www.artstation.com/artwork/G01N4 my blockout
Thanks for all the interest guys, I'll be starting up my thread with blockout work and mood boards some time this week. For those who won't make it this round, hopefully you'll have more time next round.
Looks cool man, getting a Bioshock kinda feel from this. However, it looks far too cluttered, and your screenshot isn't giving it any justice. I'd work on the composition a bit more whilst it's still in blockout :D

Ok so I've put together the first blockout of the castle itself. Would love some feedback on the overall design etc. The central building is going to extend into the side of the mountain with the throne room located inside the mountain itself.
Pretty nice blockout, is the end goal to have a nice render or are you going for a realtime model? Your presentation could benefit from either posting rendered images or using a program like ShareX to crop only the viewport.
I started a blockout of a small scifi scene but I really don't know there this is going, still a good exercise for a beginner like me :) Also a little drawing exercise for poses(values and anatomy are far from being good)
