you aint lying :) my only excuse is most of these characters stay separate meshes: arms separate from body, legs separate, etc etc. same goes for those painted characters. I would honestly not let that BS slide normally.
Vertex = F9, Edge = F10, Face = F11 by default. Just search for those in the hotkey editor and rebind them if that is what you meant. More specifically under HotKey Editor it is "Status Line" on the left and the commands are SelectEdgeMask, SelectEdgeFace, SelectEdgeVertex etc etc.
This might be a dumb question guys ... but where do i actually find the equivalents of Max's modifiers in maya .. Things like Shell, FFD, Loft etc etc ... It doesnt seem to have a modifier pallete in the same way that max does... Thanks guys

I have never used it but just from looking at the website I think SILO is just a modeling tool . Max and Maya are full feature development programs . They have Animation,Rigging, Particle & Cloth FX, Various rendering options..etc etc

I do environment art at work and almost every highpoly model gets some touching up in zbrush. Even though it's hard surfaces everything can benifet from a 'little' organic detail. It's great for scratches, cracks, dents, etc etc.
the best way to predict is honestly to view in your 3d application , because lots of engines interpret specular maps differently, also depends on shaders etc, what you texture for 3ds max might be different for uengine etc , depends alot man.
well I have been waiting months for this and lo and behold it sucks. So far only mass effect is working. the rest of them like gears of war 3, mirrors edge etc( which are on the list) do not work. i just get an error code and a message that these games will not work here etc anyone else tried this?
