I seriously recommend 3dbuzz. Their legacy stuff is laughable now (outdated). But if you're on a tight budget and a green as grass beginner their offerings are pretty cost effective in my opinion. Hate their site's UI reboot though. Re: zbrushworkshop, they have cool stuff but I'm just out of their pricing schemes. If…
Please don't use wix, very cumbersome to navigate when trying to view the work in my opinion. Use something like carbonmade, simplicity is key, Just pictures. As for the pricing of buying a domain name or site, it is an investment toward getting that job, increases your odds. You can buy a domain name and site hosting for…
Nice site! The Skylanders video doesn't work for me either, using Chrome at work. I also noticed the "Lights Camera Party" still has an image of your WIP witch doctor lady-- like maybe you used her page as a template and missed deleting an image (I do that all the time :D ) Otherwise, nice site, great content!
As a graphic design major, the first thing I thought when I saw your site was "Wow, clean AND good typography!" :p I got hooked on your art right away and ended up looking through your entire site, great stuff. Do you think you could put up some wires for the art test buildings?
I can second (third?) Bluehost as well. Been using them for years for all sorts of things, my personal portfolio site included, and they've always been great. If your site has any special needs, like high-bandwidth/storage or special scripts or environments, they'll work with you and help you figure it out. They're good.
definitely fix the website so people don't have to scroll horizontally. The first time I looked at it, I did not even notice the right half of the site. Only after reading the comments and looking at the site again did I realize there were more images and contact info. That is a huge issue. I also think that the textures…
I actually reckon that AAs are better than lith-ion, you could buy 4 rechargable batteries and a charger, and keep 2 charging while you use the others. Then just swap them over when the juice runs out and keep going. Lith-ion batteries gradually lose their capacity, so the AA option could be the most future-proof.
I've been using that site for years. We do a lot of shirts for different events that need to have lots of sponsors' logos on the back. Of course they NEVER provide them as vector art in .eps, .ai, or .pdf format. A lot of times I'm just given a shitty fax of the logo. That site has saved me from having to redraw hundreds,…
Where oh where did www.flipfloppingbush.com go? :/ That place had some pretty nice facts (note- facts.. they had links to official sites with hardcore facts) What bothers me about this, is that every "why did Bush win/Kerry lose" site, most of the bush supporters actually supported him because he "stayed by his…
The local guys had a lot of problems with games not being uploaded properly. I think most people wound up re-uploading their games the day after. The Melbourne IGDA site is our one http://globalgamejam.org/2014/jam-sites/melbourne-australia/games "Adversarial Manifesto" is the game I was talking about.
