Quickly i have some renders of the rough Diffuse. To bring this thread to a close i wanted to at least show my base diffuse. I will be reworking the grip on the normal spec and diffuse map soon.

Thanks man :) Yeah a lot of the assets and sculpts I shared are from back in 2013. It's crazy how quickly workflows change and how we do new things with all of these new tools these days
@Racer I am pretty new around these parts but I have seen a few of your pieces and am quickly learning you are one of the better hard-surfaced modelers of the community. Keep rockin!
For a couple of quick fixes: I'd rotate the jar so the seam faces the wall, and fix the smoothing groups on the lid :) This has come on leaps and bounds really quickly. The clutter makes such a difference to the overall scene.
@FuzzyOwl Thank you very much! Its my first game model and also first time doing texture so it was quite challenging cos I had to finish it quickly before traveling :)
I also find it very frustrating. Now I just quickly activate snap to vertex and snap it back to where it came from. I liked that "feature" though. (I always assumed it was a bug)
^^good stuff here^^^ Another approach I use a lot is that I have "show end result" bound to a key. So I can quickly toggle between deformed and straight to edit the mesh.
