Do you have a concept that you're working from? You said it's modified. Right now I feel like the main issue is composition, even if you add more stuff to the scene the original composition will make things look a little bit boring. You're currently using an angle that shows off the rockface most. I bet the angle would be…
What would you say is the focal point of your piece? Where do you want to lead the viewer's eye? For me the most visually interesting areas (most contrast and most saturation) are the patch of plants in the middle to right foreground and left mid-ground. The huts by comparison are dark, desaturated and lower contrast. When…
It's been awhile since I posted to Polycount, but wanted to share one of my lighting and scene studies I've been working on in Unreal. Assets used in this scene are a mix of my own, and edited assets from Unity's Book of the Dead pack, textures from Clinton Crumpler's Laundromat scene, and Unity Store user rfarencibia's…
I think your lighting is really blown out. Maybe drop the volumetric scattering in the directional light or the fog density, and decrease the directional light overall. If the scene becomes too dark, increase the skylight intensity. It's currently a bit difficult to read details in your scene. I'd also suggest to iron out…
Just disband a collaboration with my friend . I am doing solo and giving 100% time on it . A halberd and a helmet . Which fits the medieval characteristic the best ? Comment below .
- Conceptually in function, you've pretty much just described a flamethrower but with hot water instead of gasoline. Flamethrowers are simple in they're just pumps with pilot lights at the end. Search images for the M1A1 and M2 flamethrower, they're basically a single tube with grips. - Good technical modelling skill can…
just wondering if anyone knows what could be causing alpha'd hair to be doing this? it's a blend material, the hair is a separate object from everything else, and has its own material.
Any feedback is good and appreciated. You are right that by cranking out the fog and filling the whole place with snow I shifted the focus, in this project I'm in charge of the particle simulations and the effects, I might have overdone it a bit but this screenshot is from the Alpha version, I think once those buildings…
For me at least, the two things that are killing this scene are the lighting and the sky. The lighting of the scene and the sky do not match each other at all. You could try to integrate the lighting from the sky into your scene a bit better to see if it helps. Right now it should be casting a orange/pink light from the…
