actually I think that he uses a photohop Action he made to overwrite the old file, and 3dsmax update the texture in real-time. So I think it must work on maya too. -

The old timey barrel/crate/lamp seems out of place with the rest of the assets, every thing has kinda of a futuristic flair to them. The plants look great and the lighting/post looks good too. -

When you say runs fine now...does it actually boot to windows? (can you hear the hard drive reading as you would normally?) My old computer had a similar glitch (at least in behavior). The motherboard "overheat feature" would sometimes revert back the cpu speed to default clock. Which was odd because i never overclocked…
