Place a component mask after the scene texture, and use r,g,b. By default it output alpha as well , so thats float 4. and your texture is float 3, this is why it reports the error.
No I just realized that hitting R multiple times changes the ways of scaling objects. Im sorry for this thread haha, I had no idea that there are 3 different scaling modes. Im a complete beginner!

How i did it was rgba merge, and have B and A at white, and R and G a shifted version of your input. Then use a normal to height node, and youll have different slopes per island/cell.
I'm a few hours into disc two on the xbox, and I love everything about this game. My faith is restored in R*... for now. I love me some bald angry max with a couple 1911s!
