I love the brushwork in this. The colors are great too. However I feel the composition is hurting it quite a bit. She's cut off in an unnatural way, and so is her arrow. This makes it feel oddly cropped. You could include the arrow tip, and fade her dress into darker shadow, help ease the transition to the edge. Same with… -

first time I tried it I didn't get into it much, but do keep at it a little longer to make sure you've explored it properly.. I really like to paint with a shaped alpha brush. @ZombieWells I never use the auto grid myself but it sounds like a good idea, im going to look into it I have been working on a symmetry tool that tries to predict the axis and position of the desired symmetry.
