yes a mage accidentally opened a portal to the starcraft universe and some space marines got into azeroth... no I was just playing with some different brushes in photoshop and at the time it looked good, but ya it does kind of look like bullet damage now that you mention it.
Very nice pallet ! nice texturing ! but... the nails should have a nice metal read to it, sliver in colour. and a nice shiny spec :) . right now it blends into the wood too much. Also try to add broken/damage wood at the end of the broken parts of the pallet.
I'm not sure about legal, but it sounds like it could potentially be a little ethically dodgy to me. Unless the test is on display all the time like the ones that Splash Damage and ArenaNet have, they studio may not appreciate you showing off the test to all and sundry.
More animation! I'm starting to remember how much I loved animating. Time to watch Kung-Fu Panda. <3 Taking damage/falling back. (48 frame cycle) [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZzcL4Brt8s"]takingDamageAnimation_v01 - YouTube[/ame]
Thanks for the reply. I've been tinkering around in Marmoset a bit more: Changed the reflection type to GGX which brings out the roughness values a bit more. I don't want to go too overboard with the damage and wear, I've got a bit on there already.
Better but not good enough. You have now places with random noise and places without random noise. I cant see that it is water damage, chipped paint and so on. You have no gravity, the generic scratches are always generic, vertex color doesnt help.
Thanks! Oh, I can post some concept pictures and some additional renders + wireframe of the model tomorrow, It's hiding some details beneath the wings, there's some missile launchers and stuff. I'll add some bullet holes, damage and grime aswell! Thanks!
You dont need a pirate ship as reference. Pirate ships are just modified normal tradingships. So just pick the reference of some tradingships. Put some cannons on them and make them look more "evil" by adding flags, signs, damaged parts.
Thanks a lot @DanBullockArt, I'm planning on getting pretty detailed with the damage to him. I need to tidy the body up before I can start getting into the really small work it's all still dynamesh atm. Are you doing a character for the beast challenge?
Id like to see some detail in the diffuse around the areas where there is damage on the legs. The mesh detail exists and looks great, but needs to have some change in tone at least to sell it in the final render. Its a zombie after all, get some gore in there!!
