Hey there again people, my Final Year Project is all wrapped up now! Just thought I'd drop it here to show you guys! Video Here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjR6X5xWCMI and on artstation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/e1mW6
Well color me green, but it'll also be cool to see a big unveiling on the 17th having never played it! Never seen such a high profile game kept under wraps so well for so long. Sure to be some cool surprises in store.
Make the unfolded blendshape a wrap deformer for the object you want to deform. If the object is large you'll probably need to do some fiddling around with the deformer's tolerances, as its default settings assume small distances are involved, i.e. less than a centimetre.
You make hard edges based on your uv islands as well according to the your making me hard thread since the engine will break them regardless. Hence still confused. Are continous (as in wrap around/cyndrical side) and mirrored the exception to the rule?
Well I think I might wrap Photoshop extensions in it cause you can't mess with it without killing to the signing ticket. But it's cool to know you can check against it. If I find anything I'll let you know of course 😊
Thanks a lot Vig, couple more ingenious but simple solutions, definetely gonna try them out. :D I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that such a simple feature isn't available in the spline editor straight away though.
Quick update on Kate & Virgil! Hopefully gunna wrap up the moddelling portion of this soon, just have tweaks and small bits too add to it. Jewellery, tech, maybe a rotor recon drone... As always any comments/critiques are welcomed and greatly appreciative!
I've been spending too much time noodling away at the decorators and the lighting. Moved onto starting to finish up some of the assets and wrap this guy up. Finished the rusted train wheels and added some more foliage. Next up is the track.
Not much to crit on this one; I'd say go with the tattoos since it's more eye catching than arm wraps and makes the concept stand out. Also the ears merge with her head too smoothly, but if you're covering them with hair that won't matter.
Anyone out there with a VR HMD, a VIVE or RIFT, playing this game via Virtual Desktop on a ginormous wrap around screen is fucking magical, it brings a whole new visual depth to the game..really fun replay if you only experienced it with a regular monitor
