Pior: You can also import and use the smooth groups in basically the same way as turbosmooth does when it uses smooth groups.

Does your lowpoly have smoothing groups? Try applying smoothing group 1 to the whole low-poly mesh, then re-bake.

I have tried everything with my smoothing groups, smoothed, hard, blended, unlocked normals..everything..no flipped normals nothing. This mesh has a rig attached to it as well. It looks fine in Maya.

hard edges in the low poly, like separate smoothing groups instead of one smoothing group for all. they are noticeable specially in the feet.

Smooth out the low poly. Put it all into 1 smoothing group. You don't have any hard edges anyway ...

@halldor Yes, reason why I asked is the fact that the rear of the engine is not smooth, so maybe add a smooth group to that portion.

@WaYWO Baahhh, yeah, smoothing the edges fixed it! Maybe let the script smooth the edges beforehand? As an idiot-proof backup :smiley:

mm nope no alphas, I just used the inset brush like was suggested then smooth to well, smooth over the indents a bit

It seems as though you haven't set the smoothing groups yet? Put the whole mesh on a single smoothing group and this should be fixed.
