What Autodesk discovered instead was that Max's architecture had reached its limits for further improvement and expansion. The program is 80% plugins. The various 1up podcasts are pretty good. Not gamedev, per se, though: GFW Radio (Shawn Elliot in particular) almost never fails to crack me up. 1up Yours Retronauts is fun if you know the game/franchise they're talking about that week. -

No one uses uncompressed TGA's in games, the reason TGA files are used is because they have lossless compression = no quality lost when compressed.
