on my end where i had it happen as well i can rule out changed settings in xnormal interface as a cause. doxturtle: would you be able to upload the very files you exported from your max scene and loaded into xnormal? to rule out anything that happens during export and that may lead to the "works on my machine" effect.
Thank you, to be totally honest with you I am not actually too sure! I haven't done anymore work on it today but I am thinking maybe something to do with a user interface consisting of reds and greens? I feel like that would compliment the gold colour! The colour code is b88600 and its on top of the textures using the…
Thanks for the replies. I have heard that the 660 falls behind at 2560x1440 because of its 192 bit memory interface. What about the news of Nvidia crippling the 400,500,600 series consumer cards when it comes to Maya/Max. If you had to recommend a Quadro or Firepro card at the same price range as the HD7870 or GTX660Ti…
How does it play with other 3d apps? Like the building example; could I model my windows inside Max & then plug them into Houdini for procedural building generation? I'm aware I would most likely lose the on the fly adjustability of the windows created inside Houdini. I'd also be interested in interfacing it with World…
how do i have a icon on my tooll bar for the script so i dont have to have to close it every time i restart max, or when i close it i have to run scipt from the MAXScript menu. i can not seam to find it in the Customize user interface. Love the script works so well.
Thanks a lot guys, Yea I'm seeing a lot of your opinions. I would much rather just perfect the tools I know, rather than bogging my time down with software. BTW I opened both maya and softimage and from first glance, I like softimages interface a lot more, but that's besides the point.
For the script to show up in the script list, you have to put it in the Program Files\[photoshop folder]\Presets\Scripts folder. Actually, yeah you can also assign whatever hotkey you like to the script through the Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts interface, even replacing the Step Backward shortcut. This is only available in PS…
:D I just got used to Maya's quirks with regards to modeling. The way I work with it is that I remove the whole interface and use the Marquee menus, I've memorized the placement of every tool I use, so it's super fast to select split polygon tool for example. I need to customize my Max to do basically that :D
I don't know which version of Max you are using, or what Modo navigation entails. If you are using Max 2013 you may be able to use the Customize User Interface > Mouse options to adapt the navigation. http://docs.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/15/ENU/MAXScript-Help/files/GUID-724B14D0-06DC-424A-A6FE-8C494579ECA3.htm
Haha very nice. Yeah I tried on my iPad and was kinda disappointed it didn't go to a native res... wasn't really expecting it to though lol. Someone needs to really get on the case and build something with a nice interface, local storage and shader support. Can the iphone even render spec / proper alpha maps? I'm guessing…
