Really like the detail you were able to capture, @MrBFox! I do think it's a bit too shiny overall given the amount of damage across the surface, but I think if you played a little with the roughness you could solve that pretty easily.
I definitely want to make my own game, but I still would want to apply at a game studio... I don't know about you guys situation but I'm sick of working in a moldy old warehouse damaging my back on a daily basis.
The scratches implemented on the chest needs more reasoning. It seems as if it was just patterned all over the place. More scratches/damages should be in the edges and corners but not often in the middle unless it's come in contact with another object at that specific area. It'll give the prop more believability?
I think it's high poly sculpts at a lower subdivision level? I can see why you would sculpt on all the barrels together as a coherent damage pass - especially if they're always going to be seen in a trailer like that. But yeah, it does seem odd...
Woah, thanks for the in depth critique TeriyakiStyle! Orb cracks was actually what i was using for the slashing, so I'll definitely go and vary its settings up to put some changes in the damages. Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'll do this ASAP
Another quote then "There is no brain damage that we've detected. Technically, yes, he's in a coma. He doesn't react to stimuli. He has no sleep-wake cycle. But there's no brain trauma or infection. His scans are all normal. To be honest, I've never seen anything like it."
Hey Gagandeepwason! Good work! The only thing I don't understand is that white thing around the screws (what is that?). And a good way to improve it would be setting some kind of layers structure using a mask with different height. A rusted metal shows this kind of damaging:
Thanks a lot guys! Yeah I could definitely do some more damage to the frame, which is supposed to look like painted metal. Right now it just looks like nondescript, shiny orange. My girlfriend thought it was supposed to be wood :D
Hey hello codeblack ! Your models are cute ! :D Right now I feel like your textures could be more vibrant and contrasted, and could use a bit more details ( little damages on the palico's armor, some simple painted scales on the rathalos ... )
It's not more challenging because an enemy has more health and deals more damage. Yes you can fight any monsters, but there is zero incentive to do so. If you want a "challenge" you might as well fight without a weapon and just use fists.
