Hi! I have recently wrapped up my last contract and I'm looking for more work. If you believe I can assist you with your project, please email me here: claytonctapp@gmail.com Or Skype: klehtawn I am easy to work with and my rates are negotiable! I look forward to hearing from you! :) http://claytontapp.wix.com/3dart
Definetly try to avoid a lot of thin polygons. Most of them arent even very visible. About that wrap, try to do one continuous piece instead of multiple rows of polygons. Low poly models dont have to follow the flow of the high poly. Hope this makes sense.
@rollin Thanks! That is a cool question. This helps to have more control of the overall shape, I like to keep them apart as long as possible, once they look ok I bring them together. In the case of this model, the fat neck will wrap around his head without deforming the skull.
Hey, Going to say done with the body for the moment, debating whether to remodel the wraps as i'm thinking they look a bit flat that or change the texture but want to get the hammer done and then I can come back to that. As always crit is welcome, would like to get this finished for a portfolio piece thanks.
probably will be wrapping this up soon, gonna add a vial/finish the string/magic. Something about the colors is bothering me- i have a feeling fiddling with the background will help, but overall a good learning experience so far! If you guys have any tips, let me know!
Does anyone have any existing PBR textures for Marmoset 2 of clothed characters, with skin textures as well? I'm still wrapping my head around how to tackle this texturing workflow, because it seems I can't just spit out base textures out of dDo.
I'd make the handle a lot thinner. Imagine trying to wrap your hand around the thick one you've got in the blockout! I'd also suggest modelling the twisted metal trigger using a twist; seems like something which should be done early on in the modeling. Good luck!
Hey guys, I wanted to give a preview of this character I am working on before letting it rest for the weekend, some small tweaks here and there before its all wrapped up, but I am definately feeling I am close to done! yay! have a nice weekend!
gonna wrap this up tomorrow. Very unsatisfied with this sculpt. too slow, too crippled in terms of workflow, most of the time i'm not sure wtf im doing. If anyone has resources or tutorials on workflow to produce clean hard surface sculpts effectively, please share it with me. thks.
Think I am gonna call it here. Decided to go for the bigger eyes on the fish and made a few texture tweeks. Still open to crits and comments but unless there is anything crazy wrong I think I might wrap it up. Thanks for the support and encouragement everyone. Thanks again.
