Dont have Maya to test but I think the script is running it twice for both on and off. Could test in the function and see if the button is on and off or use onCommand and offCommand.
Re earlier question, do you really turn them off? Once turned off there's no visual representation of the pivot point. Seems worth leaving them on for that.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out. The water there gets abruptly deeper, so that it looks cut off. I'll change the geometry to have a more gradual fall off :)
It's weird that someone would hang the lantern off of cut off branch, when it's safer to tie it across the trunk. I like the texture work though, a lot.
Thanks! I agree about the scale being off. I remember modeling it and wondering if its off or not. Have to come up with a better workflow for these kind of situations.
Turn off isoline display. I wrote a little script that replaces export/export selected. It just turns off isoline and then exports. simple but a life saver.
