the TLDR is that I need simple player collision so you don't hung up on stuff but I still need to be able to shoot through small gaps in railings etc. I've done roughly what you describe - just wondering how other people have dealt with it and whether it'll start becoming a problem when a large map gets populated. I'm…
Small update - I've polished the textures quite a bit, added dirt, unified the colours etc. Here is the result... I'm pretty happy with it now, time to go into UDK and add all the normal/spec maps etc.
Thats really what I meant by wip threads, the guys that have an ongoing thread of awesome art but don't post "Finished" threads for each little piece of awesome. Like Ferg and Spacemonkey and Nizza, etc etc.
I'm no animator but... Motion capture, rigging, skinning, facial animation, etc etc... 2 days work?... hmm, at that rate Last of Us must of had a turnaround of about 3 months to complete the entire game... ;P
Fine tuning an old fashioned radio I've been working on. Starting to get the hang of using metal in Marmoset, although it can still be tricky depending on how you light the scene etc etc blah blah....
Aha, I like the idea! I left a few suggestions. I didn't mark any of the obvious clipping, pops etc (unless you want me too?) since you're still getting the poses etc.
i'm sorry but that looks bland as fuck... needs more contrast etc etc. i love blizzards art (generally speaking) but good god they know how to be a let down when it comes to central characters/monsters.
Doesn't look too shabby in my opinion Mike! Never really had a work laptop for art etc, so I'm actually interested in this myself. Let us know if you get it and try it out etc.
what about extra maps like spec, normal etc etc I know Psp can do spec maps, but im intrested in normals. Ps2 can do them so it isnt out the question is it?
