Is there a color map available or a list of color codes of materials, I'd like to try assigning those colors to defuse in modo and export out as an OBJ to see if Quixel assigns the materials automatically.
Material values are loaded from obj/fbx files, make sure to check that your material values (albedo in particular) are set to white, otherwise the color in the material will multiply on your texture.
What exactly is the issue? Also, can you please provide a link to your .obj that doesn't have a wait timer. Thank you. Try Dropbox or Google Drive.... upload files there.....
FunkyBunnies FB_sub-obj Piv is very handy too, if not essential. http://www.funkybunnies3d.com/tools.php It aligns the working pivot to your selection, so you just have to set rotations to 0 then.
I hope we can encrypt textures and models if we wish too. It's not too hard to go to Flash sites, and with some quick sampling, extract the mesh as an OBJ and textures as TGA.
Found great script for streamlining Max<>zbrush obj exporting, supplements this workflow (GoZ was always buggy for me) http://polycount.com/discussion/168276/styx-zbrush-maya-max-tool
Hey Iron could you send me that batmodel? I'd like to try something on it OBJ or WINGS are fine. That'd be a neat way to forget that crap movie I saw. Beh.
Open up your Find window/prompt in Windows and search for *.ztl or *.obj depending on how you saved it out. Basically the asterisk works as a wildcard and finds any files with that extention.
I wonder if they fixed up some of the OBJ importing issues yet? I haven't really used Sculptris all that much, but I can vouch for its accessibility being greater than Zbrush.
