I've probably fixed the issue; 0.2.2 is available now and in theory handles all vertices just fine: https://github.com/returnString/CryEngine.RC/downloads
Sometimes i catch a glimpse of a distorted version of my mesh, with some vertices offset to infinity, but it is only a short frame and then it defaults to the chamfered box.
The bleeding? Polypaint is vertex painting. The vertices on the borders of 2 groups are sharing 2 colours. Polypainting requires a dense topology to get a crisp edge.
Thanks Eric. Is there an easy was know whether to mirror them vertically or horizontally though other than selecting the verts and seeing that they line up properly?
