In my experience, you get what you pay for. I've been burned too often by AMD and ATI to really give them much consideration, now that they've teamed up I hear its gotten a little better but you should stay in "their family" and not mix and match Nvidia with AMD. I think what you said is true 99.9% of the time. I have though, taken a product back because the level is so low I found I couldn't play it. Although the whole exercise is objective by nature there is still a point where you know if something is good or not. Otherwise we wouldn't be in commercial visual arts. -

I think this is a very big issue every artist struggles with. I look at people's portfolios and i'm getting a bit depressed on how am i ever going to make something look THAT good when in reality i discard 99,9% of my projects? I know that if you look at the portfolios, everybody has about 3 projects, but nobody says how… -

Wife works at gamestop (I know, I know) but said that pre-orders are stated at $300 but that it is a temporary holding price. If someone pre-orders it they have to tell them the price is subject to change. @Mezz The $1000 tag started with Gamestops website. It's since been taken down but it stated the price at $999.99. -

While the price is fairly high I don't think it is overpriced. You just have a background check.(have to be 18 for a rifle) and 21 for a handgun.
