UVs are one of the harder concepts to learn. I created this Maya unwrapping tutorial that might help you, it is a step by step unwrap of a character. I go over using planar and cylindrical projections, laying out the different UV shells, and testing for distortion. The tools are Maya but the concepts should be identical to…
Baby steps, oh baby steps.. I don't have a very good work flow time wise on this one. Well, i'm trying any ways.. And tomorrow i'll gett black ops to, how will this go? Omg.. Todays progress.. Just a bunch of details.. I'll get to the magazine tomorrow..
it's kind of motivating for me to see that it doesn't have to take forever to get something done. i do disagree with okkun tho. when starting a project, picturing the whole process is demotivating and distracting for me. i try to focus on one thing at a time, step by step and not to think too far ahead.
Could you show how you make this a little bit better. Possibly a step by step or just make a quick video. (the pipe that is) I just want to see you put it together. and make that shape. It's not complicated just kinda odd. Or maybe I was really tired when I tried it.
Yes I made the highpoly following the tutorial. Really good step by step tutorial! The sofa is very low poly now for such a object. I think Im going back and do some sculpting and then make a new lowpoly. Thanks for all comments! Here´s the wire now, around 360tris.
The problem is, theres only so far they can go before its Superman and not Smallville. When everything that relates to character development is limited by the show's inability to move toward the next logical step.... and that logical step is to end the show and do superman, well they're kind of caught I think. r.
I wonder how people do photogrammetry with 40-60mpix cameras. It takes forever to calculate imo and often not enough VRAM. So I wonder if downscaling helps? From what I see from hi res matrix they just do same mesh details if downscaled in Reality Capture . I also wonder if something like 30 mpix is probably a good stop…
Hi. Recently, I created some grass using 3dsMax and then Hairworks. However, UE4 refused to open the hairworks file. I found it actually is possible to open it https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-gameworks-and-ue4 , but I struggle with compiling the UE4 code. Is there any step-by-step tutorial how to get that code running?…
Designer isn't working with pixels - it's sampling in UV space so there's no concept of a hard division between a pixel and it's neighbour - that can lead to confusions if the filtering is a bit crap the exact repro case is a little unclear from the posts in here - can you explain it step by step and I'll try it out at my…
What do you mean it gets destroyed? Much easier to explain if you show step by step screenshots of what is happening on your side. Sculpting in zbrush probably isn't the most effcient way to build a landscape, but it's certainly viable. No reason you shouldn't be able to start with a plane and go from there.
