Hi guys, gonna get right to the point here, there's a question that actually came to mind when creating a character, normally i see people creating the whole build of the character and then the clothing on top, why do this when you never see the naked body in the first place?
Thank you for your Feedback Luke! :) Damn you are right, now when I look especially at the turntable with the lights "on" you can see looking at them from the side that there is no light coming out either. You're right - modeling the interior and having light coming from inside would be the best solution.
ETA: Still struggling with all the tools ;\ But learning.. Need to get into understanding the anatomy, not just referencing it the entire time.. ya'know? Once my finals and term papers are over I will have more time to sit around looking at naked people :P
YESS I made it into the recap, along side some of my favourite artists, OMG I`m puking butterflies :) ) Good job everyone, can't wait to get as good, and better than you all haha :) 1 love polycount. Vick.
@VeryCrunchyTaco Thank you and thanks for taking the time for a paintover :) I dunno, that looks like she's wearing a lot of make-up and doesn't give the natural/nude feel I want. Yea, maybe the skin could be darker above the eye area.
Started a new project yesterday, incorporated the head sculpt I did a couple posts ago and updated it a little. Sculpting up the rough pieces. Found a concept online by Luke Belderes of a nice sci fi guy. Here is my rough sketching
I'm kinda luke warm on it. I only caught the last half of it though, so I may have been too lost to really follow it properly. I'll give it another go though, as long as it doesn't compete with my other shows :)
Nice work man, just looking through the thread, progress is noticeable. I really like the imposed muscleiture (spelling?) on the relined nude. Seems like an excellent way to study anatomy. *Might have to do one* Keep up the good work!
Why is he so high poly? I like the concept, but the model just seems ridiculously wasteful. either define more stuff with those polys, or optimize them out. I dig the concept painting of the nude version, but the clothes are kind of garish.
LOVE this album! Nude is awesome, probably my favorite track. Coldwolf: Radiohead has ditched their record label and put their new album up on their website for sale, but you name the price you want to pay for it and then download it, very cool way of doing it.
