Reset your model's transforms and scale, export as OBJ, make sure all input textures are the same size, and try creating a new project to see if this persists.

As far a i remember there was an option to delete local transformation history or something. I didn´t touch animations for a long time, so it could be something else.
MyPaint Once it updates with transform tools, canvas sizing, maybe a symmetry tool (it already has canvas rotation)...it'll be a beast for concept/ sketch work for $0.

In Maya 201x64, your modifier doesn't seem to work anymore on meshes that have no UVs (it creates a transform but no mesh, or in some cases it seems to even crash Maya).
What's fascinating is that I actually did a reset transform on the entire model, and that still gave the same result - I didn't think of separating into elements, resetting, and then recombining!
