@Octo Thanks for the suggestion. This way it will not differentiate between vertices that are stretched or squashed. Anyway something to think about.

reset xform, weld vertices apply a new meshsmooth if its still there delete the face and reconstruct them

hehe, yea i saw that, it was a vertice all alone there. I just deleted it. That mesh has a turbosmooth on it.

Try dividing the edges of the square a bunch in Editable Spline, the new vertices should help it triangulate better.
