Hey everyone, for my assignment I have to make a 30 second animation, I opted to make cocketiel character. Heres my current sculpted concept. I would love to hear some crit and advice on how I can tackle the wings giving it feathers. Currently my biggest problem area are the wings and the legs I don't like the stubby…
I'm pretty new to this stuff so maybe I missed something my leg is doing this if I attempt to manuever the leg at all. obviously this is not acceptable when it needs to be more or less straight along the leg's main axis. How do I constrain the knee to the proper axis? the heirarchy constraints don't seem to do much of…
I love this design! this might me a bit late in the process but I would do more to distinguish the legs more. It's pretty hard to tell if they are stylistic human legs or robot legs, I think you are going for robot but it is pretty hard to determine.
your going to have a lot of problems weighting those back legs if they are all pulled in like that when you attempt to attach it to the rig. you have the leg split up into 3 equal sections which is an odd proportion to use for a leg structure.
That second guy looks like he's got some issues with his proportions. Legs are looking too short and a bit thin. A few other things pop out at me as well, but they're difficult to pinpoint with his legs as they are (crotch height, arm length, etc) and may be fixed when the legs are lengthened.
the problem is that the fore legs are moving simultanously (jump movement) while the back legs move crossed (walking). edit: mh, nah, looking at it again, both leg pairs seem to go from cross into simultanous movement :X bit of a weird movement mix.
Ugh so I went down one by one. Merged and it didn't work. So then I went and preprocessed all without it merged and it worked. Which is odd because in the VERY beginning I did it without merged and it came up with an error of duplicated names. Ugh. Anyway there is still time for something to go wrong.
Hey kimchee! So I can show you how I would make a circle on a plane but there might be better more efficient ways. Hope you can read this okay let me know if you have questions. And sorry if any of this stuff is stuff you already know >.< Figured I would include every step just in case. Step01: I shift right click, making…
ha yeah its a mix... i'm gonna try merging a block that i already merged using "protect outer" with a block that i merged with "protect Inner" and see if that works... if not i'll try the masking. Thanks for your help EDITE: Got it to working using the masking
in the first one, when the blue leg steps forward, the head does this move back and loop around to the front thing, but when the green leg goes forward, the head doesnt do that loop. it just goes down. since the legs are the same, the head should be too
