haha how are you guys even trying this after a day of work, thats hardcore. I tried it this morning with a score of 14 but at that point I felt the colors had been permanetly imprinted on my retina.. lol Sleep is a good idea JFletcher but since yesterday it has been starcraft 2 instead.
UPDATE: WIP 8 Hello guys, I'm going to do an Zerg inspired version of Nocturne, I'm basing much of the Zerg design of the Starcraft game and some things from the Xenomorphs, I hope you like this crazy invention and suggestions/feedbacks are always welcome! Concept: Little reference sheet, many of the references I entered…
I love this! Just like when I was heavily into StarCraft II. People came up with all these sophisticated strategies to counter this and that, and expand here and there, until a pro realized "Just go kill him" was the best strategy :D Sorry, totally off track, I just thought this kinda reminded of the same scenario :)
You need more hard surface modeling in your hard surface modeling exercises. Right now there are some cylinders and cables with some very fancy shaders on them, nothing challenging from a modeling standpoint. If you really want to practice hard surface modeling, try doing a car or aircraft, or something like this, this, or…
great characters and aircraft! But I think all what is glass (helmet glass shield, craft cockpit glass) need some work cause now it feels too opaque and solid. Maybe add some faked reflection? Also imo GDI soldier could be a bit more saturated. Great job overall
Looking very sexy. I agree with gauss on the spec, it could use some tightening to bring it up to the quality of the rest of the model. You also may want to try adding a subtle ripple effect on the panels using the spec, no military aircraft (even new ones) have perfeclty flat pannels. Awesome work
I like it much better. You've obviously decided to go off the pure realism path and make a more stylized version of the plane, but even with that your proportions are vastly improved and the aircraft looks much more recognizable. Not sure any pilot would willingly fly that thing with the current front canopy you've got,…
