Is there a reason you guys like the Samsung slate or whatever over say an x220 from thinkpad? Same functionality but better specs and can also use as regular laptop. Just wondering cuz idk I might want to switch to drawing on the screen sooner or later myself
thx for the advice!! I actually did thought off runes and scratches , however i idk where should I place them , and I am not really good in this stuff :( . Btw , the pattern I actually done it through Gimp . Hence it will not present in the normal map . Is that alright ?
okay worked out pretty well I went for a simple material with no gloss / spec needed (kaplas pieces, it's like jenga) idk if this workflow is common over here but it's a pretty cool discovery to me here is the ingame result i'll give a go to a lego material too
Idk, I've been at this for the last few days and am following that dota guide. This no lighting, no normals, only texture business is tough bossiness. What should I do to make this one better, I don't want to overdetail like on the test, but this one is under detailed now.
this looks interesting but the price is way outta my league and I collect this kinda art book stuff. Im really regretting not getting the Bioshock on in print when it was availiable for 30 bucks....1st editions now on ebay for 700 bucks. atleast they released the pdf copy for free.
Two more problems that are usually easy to fix: search for QNAN and #INF and replace with a 0. Sometimes Maya gets an infinite number (the second one) - and the first is not a number. You'll see a camera transform in the .ma file that's like: 23.QNAN so if you replace it with a zero it will work.
Something inspired by Codex Seraphinianus. You can find the whole book as pdf if you google it. Ther's also lots of cool ideas in this 17th century book called "Curious Designs": http://www.wdl.org/en/item/200/#regions=europe&item_type=book&ddc=7
thanks! yeah, I'm not messing with the lighting any more. Have been noodling with some animation tho. a little hover idle. Would have posted it by now but the rotor blades look gross when they spin without any kind of motion blur in marmoset. Thinking of a solution..
I'm sorry I'm too blind to see the wings xD But I think it looks really good! How about adding some expression on her bee's? Like making them looking grumpy or so (idk could also be 3 different ones like on SG)
you definitely need if you go for the TF2 look http://www.valvesoftware.com/publications/2007/NPAR07_IllustrativeRenderingInTeamFortress2.pdf the half lambert is a part of the shading, as is the ramp half lambert doesn't give you harder shading edges (like blurred cellshading) only makes the shading brighter and flatter
