this portfolio format stuff... its cool I'll give you that. but really the format is this: can I see your work quickly? is it bad ass? it is! your hired, done, ( that's it, seriously I am not kidding) 99.9% is the work, and how fast folks can get to it. I guess that's why I have to uncheck the "Flip Green" option for normal maps in SketchFab....? Anyway, to reduce polygons I use ZRemesher just because it tries to keep the mesh all-quad. Wow, i just, wow I had set it to 1280 (facepalms) Set the width back to 990 and everything looks so much cleaner :) I'll try to get rid of that top banner that holds the site name and add that info into the header images. That should save some space too :) -

Re: 3ds max, any way to use the move tool to move in increments (rounded numbers), not fine decimals?
The closest thing to blenders snapping, would probably be found in Maya or Modo, Max's snaps are FOOKED when it comes to this kind of thing. You can set max to 0 decimals (Main menu > Customize > General tab > Spinners > Precision:0) but it's still moving 99.891 it just shows you 100. If you set it back to precision:3… -

+1 If you can, try to get pretty much all edges beveled through normal maps or geometry. They will help catch specularity and as sprunghunt mentions, help the readability. The exceptions would be edges which would really portray sharp edges such as the edge of a knife or something similar. I bet that 99.9% of all edges in… -
