Loving this idea. I have been doing this with my direct manager on a almost daily basis and it never occurred to me that this could be done for the entire team. I have found status updates through slack, just writing a couple bullet points, very efficient.
Been working a lot on this scene for the last several days. As for a wire of the low poly column: And a high poly render of the sculpture I made for the statue in this scene: The zbrush model I made to use as the floor tile texture. The zbrush model made for the wall and window sections.
Thanks all, I hope I can post an update of the blockout clothing soon. @.CSM I use reference: photos, anatomical plates and art. I also use a freedom-of-teach male statue: http://www.anatomytools.com/anmfv2-1-3scale-p14.php
Monthly Competition #13 for March 2014. Here is my main hand weapon for Elder Titan. Calling an experienced 3d modeller and texture artist! I've got my hands full at the moment to do this myself. D: STATUS: Reconsidered to do this solo later this month.
When it comes to texturing, its about the subtleties man, check how the paint degrades off the statue not in an EVEN manner(what you have), but rather in an UNEVEN or in different GRADES of erosion. That alone should tell you how to approach your texture. Good luck!
yeah, it's weird... before there were normal maps people baked AO. Considering that I've done statues (basically a character that doesn't move) at the same specs for an MMO and I baked AO... I'll just go ahead and do it and if I get disqualified, fuck 'em!
I always found the statues he made laying around his old ID office way more impressive than any of the work he put out for their games. Anyone else get a chance to catch those before he left? They're awesome
Great piece, bravo ! This is what the art is suppose to be , to challenge the status quote , to satire and exaggerate reality and to show as how to create a better world right ... and what if they can live together ? - idea for a second sculpture , live make mistakes and hopefully learn from your mistakes
I'm working on a game in which you play as a tattoo on human skin. It calls for a lot of interesting work with UVs. The picture refers to what I mean by the UV edge, the link goes to a gif showing my issue in action: https://twitter.com/parsaiej/status/786039071873183744
it's like facebook status...for folks who really have nothing interesting in their lives to share, but believe someone will read it, and care. really care. you won't even believe what I'm doing right now. http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2008/4/23/
