Hmm I didn't really think of that, making a quad for each tile on the surface. That's an interesting idea. So in your opinion, modeling game architecture based on the Cryengine 3, which would be the lesser of 2 evils? The way I've been doing it with multi-materials and UVW Mapping tiling, or the quad-tiles? From what I…
For my first attempt into Substance Designer I wanted to create a scene that was based in the familiar. But at the same time had enough interesting textures going on to help me explore the programs wide variety of tools. So I chose the cryo-pod scene from Interstellar. I love the way this scene is constructed, it has that…
Blaizer made one sort of valid point though. Go out and make stuff. You, WE are the ones that make games. This is not us complaining about books or chairs or TV or plush toys. This is us complaining about our own products. No, we don't have absolute control, and no we cannot (realistically) force upper management to change…
sup, (probably late but better than never i suppose) so from what i can see is the reference has a "push-in" towards the interior of the material change, going in the inwards direction. an it looks like you are doing a dissolving kind of change between the materials. That wood could use some slight beveling for me, the…
Okay i'll go cry to my corner now  You enjoy editing your posts a lot don't you. You tend to join into other people's threads saying how useless it is when they are trying to state their opinions or information, and you tend to insult other people all the time when they don't agree with you.
That would have been a good idea except you cant fight in the war room. I tried them all pretty much, after wading through the detritus, I stuck with Wings3d it gets the jerb done. Except when you need to create non closed objects. Then I struggle and cry and or try another program.
@Heather_Bea Thx I'm doing what I can to wrap this up. well I'm not quite sure how to change the ambient color of the scene inside of the cry engine. I haven't looked for it specifically. I'm also trying to learn the camera set up. Crits are very welcome. PS. I see some of the placement problems.
Cue the music from the 1968 movie Planet Of the Apes, and let it roll until we are all over thrown by our humanzee slaves. I think we all need to go back and play alittle Fry Cry for two reason; 1) Remind ourselves how dangerous this type of science can be. 2) Practice and training.
