I'm not using the graphite interface , it is very laggy( what Autodesk actually give us as a gift is the option to use the old polyboost interface, its much better :D ). What I did is to find all commands I need and put them into custom quad menus. If you open the customize user interface dialog and go under the PolyTools…
Yeh cg textures is awesome :D Also try Autodesk Area, there's over a hundred there, most are very high quality. Taking your own photo's is alot harder though, you have to be in the right lighting conditions and have a very expensive camera to get the right quality otherwise they end up being for low opacity dirt and stuff…
i'm genuinely excited about this. sure, it's another way for valve to make money. but the fact that they're pushing Linux is huge from my point of view. i've been slowly moving away from windows as my OS for a while now. maybe this will start nudging autodesk or adobe to start developing linux programs as well? then i can…
@throttlekitty Thank you for the answers man :) You're totally right with using the getPOValue <= [1L] expression too! @RN And that's the exact behaviour I'm doing here, no? Also it's the first time I see a for expression using that kind of syntax, I'll have to read a bit to understand that haha...Thanks for showing me…
I can see the rotation being a huge issue for 2d artists that use it.. The rotate canvas in photoshop is near unusable.. It both distorts the pixels alot, and makes the tablet less accurate while the canvas is rotated. Its terrible but I wish Autodesk would release a competing product to photoshop :P Take the draw quality…

Hey man, yeah, happened to me in the past, though I was using Max 2016. And the solution was... far fetched. Someone over on the Autodesk forum suggested my user settings somehow got corrupted. I followed those instructions and it did the trick. You can give it a go, since you're backing up your preferences in the process…
Have you installed the latest service pack (you only need the latest one): http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-3ds-max-2014-service-pack-5.html?v=2014 Have you tried the Freeform tool vs the Rotate tool? I've heard of similar issues with the scale tool, but not the rotate…
I bought a samsung note pro over the weekend to replace the note 10.1 love it. its huge and the keyboard works real nice too. I use mine mainly for work and write quite a bit with the stylus. Its also pretty good at converting my handwriting into text which is handy. Theres an autodesk drawing app that comes with it..…
Yes, the UI bug is for 2013 -- 2012 worked fine. Window resizing and resize to fit children options are broken in 2013 when combined with certain UI features that involve dynamic resizing. This was confirmed by Autodesk but I don't believe it to be public knowledge. I haven't tested if they've fixed it for 2014 -- I wrote…
