Great scene! The first two pictures are great :) The third gets a bit cluttered due to the amount of hard rock surfaces with a lot of light variation hitting them without any more major definition of the rock it's hard to get a feel of it with all broken up lines there. Otherwise, quality stuff and moody colors :) -

Looks really nice, some small things; The sword looks really thin and not really nice, your rocks are really metal-ish with the hard highlights and the high reflection, and that orange reflection on the rocks dosnt fit in with the rest. Also I would write the website name under the character name for spacings sake -

Cool scene, the telescope looks awesome. The large cliff rocks aren't doing it for me though, they could use striations or cracks to imply their scale, and maybe a bit more color variation. Since you mentioned airborne, they project cracks and striations onto their rocks in worldspace, maybe you can look into doing that. -

Scanned some rocks yesterday and put together a small scene with them. The top of the rock still needs cleanup and I need to create a proper tree with some roots growing down but other than that it is slowly coming along. Also another pose test of the character (still have to chreate final renders!) -

That's all me baby. 90's rock is seriously my most favourtite time in music history, I only wish i was a little older during that time to fully enjoy it, but that's where I grab most of my inspiration from. Grungy rock meets (hopefully) some cooler ballads here and there. -

You need to cut some wood (d > t)and build a Carpenter's Workshop to make beds (b > w > c). What you are doing is trying to place a bed. To get rid of the rocks you need to make a stone pile. (p > s) Then your dwarves with take those rocks to the pile for storage. -

My music library remains within the Rock to Metal. The bands range from Anthrax (where my handle and avatar come from), Korn, Clutch, and Kid Rock, to Bob Seger, Tom Petty, and Boston. JesseMoody: Good to see someone else mention Anthrax. It's a band that it seems no one ever knows. -
[Level design] Blockout on sci-fi environment
A few screenshots about an environment that I'm designing as demo scene for a sci-fi modular kit that I already made. Almost all blockout section will be replaced with an alien rock, like that on the background mountains. Art pass on buildings almost completed. Maybe I need to add small rocks ( as covers ). Re: Zbrush - Is there a way to create a polygroup while using an alpha for height detail?
One way to do it is to enable RGB while sculpting and change the colour for different rocks/groups of rocks. Then you can use the Polygroups from Polypaint feature. Another way is using inserts(with a negative imbed) and dynamesh will preserve the groups. Hopefully there will be a auto-masking feature for VDM brushes -…
