Yup, completely agreed. The material on the render looks much more defined, specially on the crystal. You could try adding some edge highlights on the diffuse, and also work out on the mask a bit. Does ET have a detail map? Would be cool to add something of the sort on the crystal. -

I'm actually not angry at all. I'm just very blunt and prone to profanity. I do however take some offense by your statement about twisting "crystal clear truth." Thats a lofty accusation, especially since the truth in anything regarding the workshop is never crystal clear. -

Hmm, you may be right about the crystals. I'll remove the ones on the belt, head and bracers, since those are the parts that dont have crystals on the original. Thank you! The gold however, is problably just becuase im too lazy to do all the highlights and shadows on a concept. The final pieces will not look this flat! :] -

Hi there! Update!: I finish the....streetlight? For this I try something more magical (with some energy veins/crystals) and organic. Those crystals will have a light and emissive to create the... Streetlight again? effect. What do you think about glowing veins? It out of style? Do you like it? All feedback is welcome!! -

awesome stuff, well done! nice idea, when the golem took a crystal for the light! also the crystal shading was amazing! too bad only a few of us can take the advantage of developing with this kind of technique within the next 2 years :/ i.e. our team is way too small to evaluate this technique besides the standard schedule -
