What I'm saying is its not good practice to split that strip into its own separate island. If you were texturing this with trim sheets and tiling textures then sure, but when you're baking onto round things you need to be careful about where seams go. What is this thing? How big is it on screen?
Depends. Often for modular environments you'll use a combination of tiled textures and trim sheets. http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/MultiTexture#Trim_Sheets
Experienced the same thing with the pro 3 and pro 4 when I tried them out in stores. Could never understand how people can do serious art with that lag, compared to wacom's EMR/AES. Also I don't think n-trig supports 'tilt', which has always been a deal breaker for me. Maybe I just draw from the wrist more than most.
