Lil update from todays work. Going off a 2 - (1 - 3/3) front/side proportions map. Adapted some masculine features in the process though. I also started reading "GPU Gems" (first edition though, 2003 :D ). There was some part about Lightning. In 2003 there seemed to be 2 different methods for lightning, per-vertex and per-fragment lightning and also with tesselation (which is just higher resolution?). There is a difference between a 3 year old rig, and buying parts that are 3 years old. :D 3 years is completely ridiculous. Like oxynary said, 1 year is understandable. Well you don't HAVE to buy a new card so often, but ya, PC will def. cost you a hell of alot more. I got a nice GPU 3 years ago or so, then got a GTX570 recently, and this is good enough for me for a while. But like you said, I'd prob end up getting another GPU in 2-3 years, overall costing as much as like 3 360s. -
