I started modeling some Victorian-looking houses/French stores for a small street environment I want to make in UE4. I was inspired partially by Bioshock Infinite's Paris and Assassin's Creed Unity, but I'm planning to make it my own style and only model 4-5 houses to keep the scope pretty small. My WIP models:…
Hi everyone, I am currently building a modular kit for my game and ran into a problem with gradient texturing that I do not fully understand yet. My kit consists of many reusable pieces like walls, windows and especially floor tiles. The floor is made out of repeating units, for example 1x1m, 2x2m or 4x4m tiles that are…
Hey guys! Well after corrupting my files the previous night and thankfully having my objs saved I was able to catch up and get this rendered out in Unreal 4.8. Relatively happy with the result, still getting some lightmapping issues, but totally a new experience for me. C & C Welcome! Have a great night cheers!
Updates, updates. Cannon got a new work over as did her helm' She got her shoulder guard too. Which is easier to read wires from out of those two? Ive toyed with the render settings to make the wires render sharper but im unsure if its for the better aha xD As usual all C&C is welcome!
Interesting character! Not sure if I'm already supposed to C&C, but I'll do so anyway ;) I think the orthographic views look great, I just think the face doesn't really match the reference. She looks more surprised than someone you wouldn't wanna mess with. Anyway, looking forward to see more :D
if you want to move a file around from within maya you can use the sysFile command. http://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2015/CHS/Maya-Tech-Docs/Commands/sysFile.html so you would use the -rename flag with sysFile - eg: sysFile -rename "C:/batchTest/pew.obj" "C:/batchTest/POW.obj"; //This renames pew.obj to POW.obj
Made a few changes. Polished up the blobbiness, fixed his cheek profile, changed the shape of his head slightly, tweaked his brow, and made his eyes a little more the same size/smaller to try and break some of the cartoon look it had. It's Tom Hanks and again, any c&c would be greatly greatly appreciated.
Hey rollin, I'm more of a fan of your text C site... It may just be me, but I find your current design too tacky / too bulky for its own good. And as 9skulls pointed out, also running this one a 21" monitor and i have to scroll. I think you're on to something with Test C... nice and clean :)
Update: I ended up redoing both parts. Big lesson learned for not doing a blockout and getting main proportions correct. Still need to do a few more pieces on the back of the terminal and the wire connecting the keyboard. C&C welcome. PS: Are the keys too big? These old school terminals had beefy keys but... Thanks for…
it's a good idea to focus on exactly what you like to/are good at doing. If you aren't such a great artist, focus on programming. You'll make more money. There are a number of free C++ compilers like Dev C++, etc. Learn an API like Direct X or OpenGL. Practice a lot. If you can't do it for fun, then you can't do it.
