Really love all the things going around in the envs. Doesn't really look too busy either. So it is an MMO? if so, i am only interested in the art. But from that trailer, that looks lots of fun.
really cool stuff man, my only concern is that the floor in the corridor seems a bit overscaled to me, other than that, really nice render, no wonder why Quake Wars env look so hot
EQ- why did you find it hard to render out HDR envs, i would suggest that it wouldnt be too hard to render them out of marmoset, multiple renders at different brightnesses compostied together.
Looking forward to this! :) All I need is to find a team. If you're part of a half decent team, have free sodas and enjoy drinking coffees while making env. art until 5am, PM me! :)
That wallpaper brought me here from the landing page.... Would you care to hint how you've achieved that? I'm currently playing through RE:7 and got super inspired for some old derelict env work.
I was watching Disting's stream and he also had that problem. And just logged in, and checked my own env/map and also getting that error. So it seems like it's not only you, I really hope it's a temporary thing
i think if you need something simialr to what Paul need. Great amount of small props w/ a unified theme - placed in a small env. and has AMAZING texturing and lighting = WIN WIN ! http://paulsvoboda.net/HandPaintedPage.htm
Just a heads up to say we are still looking for Env guys to help us build some pretty damn kick ass sexy worlds, so if we can get any help there that would be just swell.
Thanks GravityBwlast! Yeah definitely gonna add a bit of colour here and there ! I'm also thinking about creating some quick env props to make a minimalist environment. I don't like having the ground cutout like that.
Usually people use distance, bevel or blur nodes and some blobs style noise multiplied on top of it to create some elevated edges around tears but it never looks very realistic really especially on walls. And requires lots of miss and hit . For wall paper tears bending down with air pockets and plaster bumps /wires pocking…
