Alright guys, take the last build I posted and consider this the video card: EVGA 01G-P3-1180-AR GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Retail ($369.99) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130480&cm_re=GTX_285-_-14-130-480-_-Product So: Processor: Intel…
I always recommend Python as someone's first programming language - it's extremely powerful when it comes to computations, and is still really easy to learn. Until you've got a good grasp on programming pragmatics, I would stray away from anything .NET. Learning the .NET side of the house is just as intense as learning…
In my experience, you get what you pay for. I've been burned too often by AMD and ATI to really give them much consideration, now that they've teamed up I hear its gotten a little better but you should stay in "their family" and not mix and match Nvidia with AMD. I hear ATI driver support hasn't gotten much better since…
The scales of the dragon are too uniform. If you look at pictures of snakes, lizards and crocodiles, you will find that the scales have diffirent size, texture and shape depening on where on the animal they are and what purpose they have. Having trouble getting the balance right between too much ambient light making it not seem like dusk/night and too little to see the detail. Made a mesh with an orangey rain material on for under the street lamps…

I'm personally not a huge fan of just doing 95% of your model in painted metal (wich tbh it doesn't really matter what spec/gloss value you put on that, since any would be correct with all the kinds of paint on there). In my opinion if you want to practice material definition get a wider range of materials with reference…
