Hey Lankus - these guys seem to have you covered on the actual website creation, and your references for portfolio websites look great, but if you ever get stuck during the design process hopefully these will help (they say a lot of the same stuff, but that's how I remind myself it's important): Killer Portfolio or…
Hey apollo, there is a number of things wrong with the anatomy in your guy right now and i think that trying to address them all would be a little overwhelming. If you really want to do it right you need to study the origins and insertions of the muscles. There are some great books/online classes that can help you with…
Here is a map viewer of dark souls. http://kayin.moe/?p=2218 You should look at the painted world of ariamis, which is the best level in dark souls. On Miyazaki he copies a lot from Berserk, D&D and ICO. You might want to check out http://www.ultimaratioregum.co.uk/game/tag/dark-souls/ and read through some of his posts.…
Hello. You are in a very interesting place in the sense that this model seems to have very good surface quality and clean execution, which is unusual for a first try at sculpting. So congratulations on that ! You are currently running into a common roadblock experienced by many people jumping straight into Zbrush. But your…
On another note if I tick "From To" in the Animation Range and go from 0-100 run it again it gives me a message box for every frame in the sequence (0001-0100) everytime I hit ok.

Thanks pior, I didn't know about gifcam. I'm sure I'll find a use for it. The confusion between saturation and chroma goes way back, in fact it was the art teacher Arthur Pope who pointed out in the 1920's that the word "saturation" was being used by different scientists of the time for these two distinct concepts. So…
It feels strange to be reviving this thread after so long, but I figured since the central asset in this render I'm working on is the subject of the thread ... here goes. The below is a Vray render, with some very basic compositing done in Photoshop. I'm not sure where to take it... ignore the lack of a body on the…
You're on the right track. Texture-wise, I'd suggest you play around with the specular maps some more. Have a look at some wood-grain alphas like this one: http://www.creativecrash.com/system/photos/000/011/555/11555/big/screen1.jpg?1251121141 You could also use that to develop a normal map on your model. If you have a…
