pretty much just gotta take massive action and hammer out work, put it up for critique and demonstrate the ability to show the assimilation of that feedback. baby step it, there is no magic pill to get good. find awesome mentors and make sure they are seeing you taking that action to improve and going above and beyond.
New dev diary video showcasing the SMART movement system. It's very cool. http://www.brinkthegame.com/media/videos/?id=76 Also it features Aubrey, the most well-spoken game designer you will ever find, also a parkour-ist, and generally all-round top guy. TASTE THE MAGIC!
hey, thread's back! here's one of the pistol - I wouldn't use this as any sort of reference though, haha if you need any other one in particular let me know! I'd like to say that it's magic combine technology but in reality I just forgot lo siento all thanks!
Thanks again - I managed to overcome the mipmaps (global 8x anisotropic seemed to do it), but the cubemap filtering magic you pulled might be too much for my trusty old GeforceGo :P I'll try cubemapgen or something to make my own suitably blurry maps I guess. Thanks!
Not so much, but here I'm trying to find the right image of my character. Trying to shape him into his later 20's and earlier 30's. Young teenagers are nice example of a fresh adventure, but sometimes beyond 20's deserves something magical to live for :) Still on my way.
combination of everything. School just helped me time frame the whole thing, modding gave the background and then it was working up (although "horizontal" (from outsourcer's intern to artist on site) not "vertical" (QA to CEO)). There's a whole lot of Magic attached to it as well, getting the right connections at the right…
Where the Magic happens. I really need to get a second monitor and find somewhere to put that tv that I never use. Also check out THIS keyboard illumination. I always keep the lights on too, being on a drawer makes it dark plus my room is dark; 6sec exposure for this shot.
no and no.... i really really didnt think was an obscure movie...critters is closer to the correct line... "It's all done with a little scientific magic. You see, each little blueberry is coated with a thin layer of goat embryonic fluid." If it's still up tommorrow I'll post the answer and an easier movie I suppose...
Vig - Yeah Zombies is cool, we pick a game each week to play - magic/hecatomb/pirates/zombies/mechwarrior etc. So, I married Mrs Voorhees - here's my boy: and his sister as a goth/vampire/bat/skeleton/"I-couldn't-make-my-mind-up" thing..
Started modeling some pre-sculpt geo for a Rubick staff. Kind of burnt on doing a set so I wanted to do a single Item. A shattered Emerald bowl shape on a stack of "magical" rings! :poly108: I quickly rigged up the starter geo to see what it looked like in-game.
