Well they are not really playable on a regular dvd only a computer, which is kind of annoying. They come with flash interfaces which make a bit annoying for my taste. Thanks for the feedback though. I guess I'll make several copies of the dvds just to be safe. Alex
Zbrush 2 Practical Guide Read & follow the tutorials on this pdf. They helped me a great deal in grasping Zbrush's weird interface. Once you get into it though, you'll learn to love/hate it just like any other good app. Good Luck!
Fuck that, poser. My Os Lead system will never crash, but I do occasionally need a pencil sharpener to improve performance, and the user interface does decrease a little over time. However, replacements are cheap and I the new Mechanical version is pretty badass.
Do you have locked selection on? Theres a little button that looks like a lock on the very bottom of the interface. It's right next to grid snap and DrawScale3D and the other buttons down there. If there is a small blue box surrounding the button, that means it's turned on and your selection is locked.
Thanks for the reply. I'll keep checking back. I haven't used any other Quixel before, so this might be a stupid question, is the interface much different from previous versions? If I find older tutes on youtube or what not should it for the most part work the same way?
I managed to get a few more things done this week, all the weapons are now finalized and ready to get put in the game and I'm not working on the pick up, and mocking some stuff up in a wireframing tool for the interface. Comments and Crits welcome! Hope to have more next Friday.
I have GoDaddy and it's been way better than what I was on before; cheaper too. The site interface and support has terrible navigation but everything else is pretty solid. I think I had a coupon code and pay 60$ a year or so for all I need.
Had a little time today and blocked in some of the stuff imma put a trim sheet on in the bays, wanna get some equipment and holographic interfaces in there with some automated machinery up to. Wanna do some animations with sparks and stuff of them working on a mech or some kinda machinery later on.
I've tried several different bakers, and they all put out some very good results. However I've been using Knald almost exclusively for while, pretty much because of it's interface. It's just so sleek and fast and I really prefer that to some of the more clunky programs.
Mah first WIP. This is the first time I've ever tried painting in 3D... using Photoshop's 3D painting. It's really clunky, but I think in another version or two of Photoshop it will be great. Tried using BodyPaint for about an hour or two and had a difficult time getting over the interface.
